In 2009 Yourfonts.com had an offer that meant you could use them to get a font made up for free.  I got several done.  Some were abstract Kirby dot fonts so I could type crackle.  You never know when that'll come in handy.  3 of them were variations on this.  Gammahed03 was my favourite and I still use it all the time.
