Hole in Heaven
This is the cover for a project that looks like it'll never get finished. The story wasn't that great...

Infinity Man Vs. Devilance
I don't often use that faux retro dot effect because, although it does kinda evoke the look of all the old, badly printed comics from my childhood, it doesn't really reflect how the colours FELT to me when I was a kid. When I looked at the dotty patterns back then my brain interpretted them as flat colours... So when I'm trying to do a retro job I want the colours to be flat, the way I perceived them back then.
In this case though I thought I'd make an exception.

Sea Lord Akwa
This is the cover for my Sea Lord Akwa comic along with the inside cover. The "coral" is another bit of photo manipulation. It was a willow tree covered in frost on the foggiest night I've ever seen.
16 flat colours: Toth
My obsession with limited pallettes continues. This was tough but I thought it worked out alright. Toth makes what he does look easy but this is total genius.

AlienPoliceMan
I Initially did AlienPoliceMan as a web comic using a landscape format and then re-did the artwork to fit a portrait format.. I'll post that version shortly.

People Protector Akay
I've got a little bit obsessive about really minimal pallettes of flat colours. This version of the picture has 16 colours and in some ways I like it more than the "painted" version. This simplification means you really need to think about the relationships between the colours you're using.
Irresistible Force!
This picture is from People Protector Akay, a pre-historic superhero story. If I could do a whole strip in this style I'd be very happy...

Wingnut
I coloured up this picture a couple of weeks ago after I found the original artwork in a big pile of my old drawings. Very pleased with how it's turned out though alot of the fine detail has dropped out...
Shadows
I don't usually use Photoshop to manipulate actual photographs but I thought I'd have a shot at this one.
